MONROE CO. — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery at the Dollar General store on Lewis Avenue in Temperance.
Deputies say a man wearing all black and a mask came in around 8:20 Saturday night. He made workers go behind the counter and told them to open the cash register. He took an unknown amount of money and ran away toward the south.
Deputies say workers did not see a weapon.
A K-9 team tracked the suspect a few hundred yards before it is believed he got into a waiting vehicle and left. A detective is helping with the ongoing case.
