On October 25, 2025, Frank R. Timm peacefully passed away at Hospice of Lenawee Home. Born in Detroit on June 29, 1938, he graduated from Onsted High School in 1956, where he loved playing sports. On December 5, 1958, he married Carol A. VanRiper, and they raised four children together. Frank retired from the Toledo Blade newspaper in 2001 after 44 years of enjoyable service, first as a stenotyper, then as retail advertising representative. He liked yard work, dancing, and golfing with his friends.
Surviving family members are his wife, Carol; son, Brian (Vicki); daughter, Lori; brother, Clarence (Gayanne); sister, Haroldean (Edwin) Hadden and Laurie Gascoigne; grandchildren, Jerick, Jacob, Jared, and Cadence Timm, and Patrick Palmer; and great-grandchildren, Memphis, Aubree, and Owen. Frank was preceded in death by daughters Tracie Palmer and Kimberly Vetter; brother, Timothy; sister, Marie Kirkland; and parents, Clarence and Haroldean Timm.
Cremation has taken place, and the family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
