Frank Joseph Helminiak – Adrian

Frank Joseph Helminiak, age 83, of Adrian, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Coldwater Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Frank was born on July 9, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, the oldest child of Zigmunt and Helen (Kalwarczyk) Helminiak.  He graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Frank proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. On April 8, 1967, he married Linda Wayman in Winchester, Virginia and she survives him. He was a mechanical engineer for Johnson Controls, designing blow molding systems for many years before retiring.

Frank was passionate about his faith and shared it with others with great joy. He was active at Jasper Bible Church and handed out “Jesus Loves You” cards to anyone he could, his main goal was to bring others to Christ. Frank was a dedicated family man and was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was also an excellent harmonica player. Frank was an accomplished craftsman having built a 1934 Ford from the ground up, he enjoyed building gas powered model airplanes and was a ham radio operator.  He was also a carpenter and built furniture for his family to use. Frank was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan. In retirement, Frank and Linda went on many adventures while traveling around the country.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Helminiak; their children, Sharon (Devri) Rivera, David Helminiak and Dan Helminiak; brother, Jim Helminiak; cousin, Marsha (Jim) Caron; 10 grandchildren, Kayla Lycans, Austin Lycans, Joshua Helminiak, Emily (Brian) Gonyi, Alyssa Helminiak, Leah Helminiak, Riley Ann Helminiak, Jessiyah Helminiak, Nina Kilby and Mia Kilby; along with 10 wonderful great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and great granddaughter, Halie LeAnn Lycans.

Funeral services for Frank will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Jasper Bible Church with Pastor Bruce Jewett officiating with visitation being held one hour prior to the start of services at the church.  Military honors will be performed by the American Legion Post 97. Cremation will follow.
