LENAWEE CO. — Medicare open enrollment is underway now through December 7.
This is the time for seniors and people with disabilities to review their Medicare plan, make changes, and be sure prescriptions are covered.
MI Options counselors with the State Health Insurance Assistance Program give free and unbiased help to review coverage and answer questions. They can also check if people qualify for the Medicare Savings Program to help pay for premiums and drug costs.
During open enrollment, people are urged to check drug coverage, compare plans, and apply for Extra Help if they qualify.

Appointments are free, confidential, and do not require switching plans to receive help.
