LENAWEE CO. — A second “No Kings” protest was held in Adrian and Tecumseh as residents continue to speak out against what they describe as rising authoritarian power in the federal government.

Indivisible Organizer Judith Hammerle said she worries government leaders are using public power for personal gain.

Activist Allison Bader, with Hope in Action, says the protests go hand-in-hand with weekly community support work.

Attendee Samara Bowling said the gatherings help people stay united and ready to act.

At the Tecumseh demonstration, Don McCullim said the most important goal is to protect free speech and shared values.

Organizers say more demonstrations are expected in the coming weeks as they continue calling for civic engagement and community action.
