LENAWEE CO. — The Lenawee County Department of Veterans Affairs is helping local veterans enjoy a warm Thanksgiving meal.
Free Thanksgiving food baskets will be available for Lenawee County veterans and their families who are in financial need. Each basket includes a boneless turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, stuffing, vegetables, and other goodies.
Baskets can be picked up on Tuesday, November 25th, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at American Legion Post 97, located at 904 North Main Street in Adrian.
Veterans are asked to sign up by Tuesday, November 11th by emailing tcrockett@CAAJLH.org, texting 517-759-0118, or contacting the Lenawee County Department of Veterans Affairs at 517-264-5335.
Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
