It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, gramma, aunt, sister, and friend, Sharlene F. Anderson.
Shar was born in Tecumseh, Michigan on December 13, 1957, and graduated Tecumseh High School in 1976. She graduated nursing school in 1991 where she flourished as a nurse and colleague whom everyone grew to love.
On June 16, 1979 she married William Stacey Anderson, and together they built a home filled with laughter, loyalty, and unwavering love. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2024.
She was the proud mother of Ryan Anderson and Lisa (Shane) Wilson, and the cherished grandmother of Gracie and Royce Anderson, beloved, sister of Carol, Jackie (Jerry) MacGeorge, treasured sister in law of, Debbie Rentschler, and admired aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Her family was her world, and she loved them with a strength and tenderness that will never fade. In addition to her husband, Stacey, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ron Rentschler, and brother in law, Thomas Vance.
Shar was courageous, loyal to a fault, and loved like no other. She cared deeply for her people, and for her, caring was love in action. She faced every challenge with faith and courage, lifting others even when she was weary herself. Those who knew her will remember her heart – steadfast, giving, and full of grace.
We are forever grateful for her encouragement, her wisdom, and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she so deeply cherished.
A Celebration of Shar’s Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 at Purse & Son Funeral Home, Tecumseh with the Lenawee County Nurse Honor Guard officiating.
Visitation will also be held Friday, October 24, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Purse & Son Funeral Home, Tecumseh, where family and friends are invited to gather in her memory.
