
LENAWEE CO. — The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDRAD) is accepting applications for Rural Development Fund Grants through December 3rd at 5 p.m.
The program supports infrastructure and sustainability projects that benefit rural communities and land-based industries such as agriculture, forestry, mining, energy, and tourism.
MDARD Director Tim Boring said these grants help strengthen industries that drive Michigan’s economy and improve the quality of life in rural areas.
Eligible projects may include worker training and improvements to energy, housing, transportation, water, and wastewater systems. Counties like Lenawee and Hillsdale qualify under the program’s population guidelines.
Applicants must provide a 30% cash match and submit three letters of support.
