Patricia Ann Hewitt, age 63, of Tipton, MI, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on December 29, 1961, in Saline, MI, the daughter of the late Russell Stanley and Dolores Mae (Skiff) Heldt. Patty was joined in marriage with Donald Glen Hewitt on November 7, 2005, in Toledo, OH, and they enjoyed almost twenty years together.
Patty was employed in the Specialty Services area at The Home Depot and was a member of the Tecumseh Church of Christ. While her children were involved in baseball she served as President of the Ypsilanti National Little League. She was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers, as well as the Detroit Lions. Patty enjoyed playing puzzle games, boating, spending time with her dogs and especially her family.
In addition to her husband, Donnie, Patty is survived by her children Jeremey (Krisanne) Pepper, Danielle (Nichol) Hopkins, Stephanie Hewitt, and Joey (Nicole) Hewitt; her grandchildren, Michael (Baylee), Ethan, Chase, Bryson, Peyton, Bella, and Brandon; two great-grandchildren, Ariella and Saint; a brother, Richard (Pam) Heldt; two sisters, Theolinda (Tom) Moore, and Vera (Tom) Hawkins; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Calli, Roscoe, Joker, and Maxie Blue. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Roy and Terry Heldt.
At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Patty will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday, October 17, 2025, at NewSong Community Church in Tecumseh, MI, officiated by Pastor Tom Hawkins. Memorial contributions in honor of Patty may be made to the Lenawee Humane Society. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
