LENAWEE CO — A national survey of more than three thousand food lovers has named Michigan’s caramel apples as the number seven most popular fall food in the country.
The study, released by A Mission for Michael, asked participants which fall dish they would most like to enjoy with family this season.
Caramel apples were recognized as a Michigan favorite, especially during the state’s apple harvest season. The report highlights that sharing fall foods like these helps strengthen family bonds and can even improve mental health.
The poll’s top ten list also featured apple cider donuts, pecan pie, and cornbread.
