Deborah Ann Byington (Vargas), age 64, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Deborah was born, on November 7, 1960, in Adrian, Michigan to Antonio and Maria (Terrazas) Vargas. On September 5, 1981, Deborah married the love of her life, Mac Douglas Byington, and he precedes her in death in 2024.
Deborah spent most of her working years coordinating Kikut Hair Studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Deborah loved thrifting, shopping, and arts & crafts. Deborah loved being a grandma, a mom, and always looked forward to Sunday family dinners. Deborah enjoyed cooking, gardening, being a dog mom, napping, and watching football with the family.
Deborah is survived by her children: Alex Byington of Tecumseh, Brent Byington of Belleville, and Allisa (AJ) Doty of Tecumseh; brother: Ernest (Mary) Vargas; sisters: Toni “Pudge” (Tim) Bates, Maria (Michael) Kyser, grandchildren: Emilie, Ahna, Zack, Dominic, Janet, Jerry; sister-in-law; Becky (Danny), nephew: Derrick Herald; cousin: Rachel Vargas, and many extended family. Deborah is preceded in death, by her husband Mac, her parents, and a brother; Estevan “Steve” Vargas.
Visitation for Deborah will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, with a rosary taking place at 5:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Holy Family Parish – St. Mary’s Campus at 10:30 am with Fr, Mike Newman officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh.
