Edward Parkes Steele III, age 70, of Tipton, MI, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 3, 1955 in Tecumseh, MI a son of the late Edward Parkes and Maxine (Jenter) Steele II. On May 16, 1987 in Tecumseh, MI he married Laurie Lee Rudd and they have shared over 38 years together.
Ed worked for Axis Integration and Engineering in Britton for several years before retiring. He was a huge fan and collector of Farmall tractors and loved working on anything electrical. He loved spending time up north.
Along with his wife, Laurie, he is survived by his children, Heidi (Darin) Gillespie and Edward (Megan) Steele IV both of Howell, MI, Thomas (Suzy) Steele of Tipton, MI, Adam (Sydney) Steele of Tecumseh, MI, and James (Chelsea Mohr) Steele of Tecumseh, MI; 10 grandchildren, Taylor, Ashlee, Zoe, Edward V, Jacob, Savannah, Oakley, Bentley, Axton and Harper.
A celebration of life for Ed will be held at the Onsted American Legion on Saturday November 22, 2025 from 3pm-6pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
