ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Department of Veterans Affairs is working with the Veterans Community Action Teams to help local veterans this holiday season.
Veterans and their families in financial need can receive a free Thanksgiving food basket with a boneless turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, butter, rolls, stuffing, vegetables, and other traditional fixings.
Baskets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis at the American Legion Post 97 in Adrian on Tuesday, November 25, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Veterans must RSVP by Tuesday, November 11, to reserve a basket.
