Toyota Recalls Nearly 400K Tundra and Sequoia Vehicles

LENAWEE CO. — Toyota has issued a recall for nearly 400,000 vehicles because of a rearview camera problem that could raise the risk of a crash while backing up.

The recall affects certain 2022 to 2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid models, as well as 2023 to 2025 Sequoia SUVs.

Officials say a software issue in the 14-inch multimedia display can cause the screen to appear half green, fully green, or black. If that happens while reversing, the camera may not show what’s behind the vehicle.

Dealers will update the software free of charge, and customers will be notified by late November.
