Sgt. Jeff Wright Named Full-Time Police Chief

TECUMSEH — After just one month serving as Tecumseh’s interim Police Chief, Jeff Wright has been officially promoted to the role full-time.

Wright, who previously served as First Sergeant with the Tecumseh Police Department, assumed the interim role after former Police Chief Brett Coker was appointed as City Manager.

Coker recommended Wright to the Tecumseh City Council, applauding the work he had done in such a short time on the job, as he also told WLEN News…

That was Tecumseh City Manager and former Police Chief Brett Coker.

The City Council voted unanimously to promote Wright to the role of chief.

Wright brings 20 years of law enforcement experience to the role including 18 years with the Tecumseh Police Department.
