Michael Lee Barnes, age 66, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away at home on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
He was born on March 14, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Charles and Joanne (Cordell) Barnes. Michael dedicated over 23 years of service to General Motors in Adrian before retiring. Earlier in life, he also served on the Morenci Fire and Rescue team.
Outside of work, Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and taking his family camping. Family dinners were a cherished tradition, and he rarely missed an opportunity to attend his children’s sporting events. Known for his craftsmanship, he was skilled at building garages and sheds. His passion for cars extended beyond appreciation—he proudly earned a couple of trophies for his prized vehicles.
To cherish his memory, Michael leaves his daughters, Heather (Josh) Hall and Heidi (Jason) Aldridge; girlfriend, Linda; a brother, Charles Barnes Jr; sister, Darlene (Scott) Denham; six grandchildren: Karli Bowerman, Raven Aldridge, Braedon Hall, Taven Curry, Grady Aldridge, and Teighan Hall; and many Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Holly; brother, Darrell; sister, Linda; Aunt Lou; and Uncle Jim.
Cremation has taken place with no services at this time. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
