ADRIAN — The City of Adrian is moving forward with plans to restore and preserve historic monuments at Monument Park.
During Monday’s City Commission meeting, Mayor Angie Heath spoke about why maintaining these landmarks is vital to Adrian’s identity.
Mayor Heath said the monuments represent Adrian’s deep local roots — especially the Laura Haviland Monument, which honors the city’s long-standing legacy of compassion and activism.
Commissioners also discussed developing a long-term maintenance plan to protect monuments and memorials across Adrian for future generations.
