Sandra Kay (Boldt) Burnett, age 86, of Brooklyn, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Brookdale Memory Care in Monroe, where she had resided for the last two and a half years. Sandy was born May 12, 1939 in Detroit, to Arthur and Margaret (Sanders) Boldt. She was there only child. Sandy lost her father at the age of 5 and moved with her mother to Lansing, then to Brooklyn, where she spent most of her life. Sandy attended Brooklyn schools and graduated with the class of 1957 from Brooklyn High School. After graduation she worked at the Spot and Trolz in Brooklyn. She met her husband Carrol and they were married on April 15, 1967.  Sandy was a homemaker and talented artist. She enjoyed painting and crafting. She displayed and sold her work in Tecumseh at Byrd and Co. and at numerous craft shows.  Sandy enjoyed doll collecting and had hundreds of dolls from antique to vintage to modern. She enjoyed sewing original outfits and dressing dolls in her collection. Sandy was an avid collector of all things frogs and many frogs decorated her home and yard.  Sandra is survived by her husband, Carrol Burnett of 58 years and her cousin Lois (Pinky) Staub. She is also survived by her local nephews and nieces; Mark and Susan Ives, Scott and Marcia Ives, Lisa and Jeff Cory, and Dawn and Neil Harsh. We cannot forget that she is also survived by her dear friends Barb and Steve Shank and Ed Travoli, who have been true friends by spending time with her. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Margaret Boldt.  Sandy’s Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Highland Cemetery on Monroe Pike Road in Brooklyn.
