LENAWEE CO. — The county’s opioid settlement committee is reviewing more than 25 proposals for how to use $1.5 million in settlement funds.
The group, known as the “Bridging the Gap” subcommittee, is studying the plans and will continue its review process through November.
The money comes from national legal settlements with drug companies. Officials said more funds are expected in the years ahead, which could allow for additional programs or services.
The review is ongoing, and recommendations will be shared with the full county board once the process is complete.
