LENAWEE CO. — The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners has approved a resolution for new airport projects. The vote was 9–0.
The plan includes lighting upgrades on Runway 5 and navigation easement purchases on nearby properties to clear the airspace.
The total project cost is about $278,000. Most of that will be covered by federal and state partners, while the county’s share is about $13,264.
The board said the cost-sharing agreement helps improve safety and keeps the airport ready for future needs.
