Dennis Roger Spina, age 80, of Onsted, MI, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 16, 1944, in Detroit, MI, a son of the late Roger E. and Louise M. (Cucchetti) Spina.
On May 31, 1965, in Detroit, MI, Dennis married Barbara Lee Pellegrino, and they have shared over 60 years together.
Dennis worked in plastics as a process engineer for all of his career. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, gardening, boating, fishing, bird watching, and truly enjoyed attending his grandkids’ sporting events.
Along with his wife, Barbara, Dennis is survived by his children, Beth Ann (Chris) Whiting, Paul (Lynette) Spina, Sandra (Pat) Petee, Dianna (Chris) Fletcher, Mark Spina, and Carl (Kate) Spina; two sisters, Janis (David) Marsack and Gail (Dennis) Mathers; a brother, Edward Spina; 12 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation for Dennis will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 4 pm-7 pm at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
