HUDSON — The community is remembering Tom Saylor, the former Hudson High School coach, who passed away this year at the age of 83.
Saylor was a Hall of Fame high school football coach and the founder of Tom’s Donuts, which he opened in 1970. He was known as a master donut maker and for the time and energy he gave to his players, neighbors, and church.
He is survived by three children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Saylor’s family says his legacy lives on in the traditions he created, from the football field to the donut shop that became known as the Donut Capital of the World.
