Joyce Ann LeVeck, age 77, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Promedica Charles & Virginia Hickman Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Joyce was born on January 23, 1948, in Adrian, MI, the third of Joseph and Edna (Etter) Swanson’s four children. She grew up attending Adrian Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1966.
On December 27, 1988, Joyce married Wesley K. LeVeck and they shared almost 21 years together before his death in October 2009.
Joyce’s career was mainly working in retail. She was a supervisor at JCPenney in the Adrian Mall for 16 years and worked at Woolworths for 12 years where she was the manager of the Harvest House. When she was younger, Joyce enjoyed being part of a Wednesday night bowling league but doing puzzles became her new interest as she got older. Joyce’s natural talents came through in painting and being an excellent cook in the kitchen. She loved to host family gatherings where she made a variety of dishes where everyone had a favorite, with her peanut butter cookies and taco salad being high on the request list. Joyce made enough food to ensure everyone went home with tasty leftovers and no one left hungry. Joyce’s kindness and gentle personality made her a loving caregiver to many family members over the years. She always made time for her family and would travel to go visit them when she had the chance.
Joyce leaves behind her children, Bobby Seegert (Jennifer Skeels) Mickey Seegert and Katrina (Jean-Luc) Albert; grandchildren, Kirk Cornell II, Robert W. Liski, Kyle Cornell, Shelbey Carey, Tyler Seegert, Kelsey Seegert, Keisha Peterson and Hayden Seegert; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great fur babies. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley; brothers, Donald, Charles and Joseph Swanson; and the father of her children, Terry Seegert.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, with Rev. Lynn Brooks officiating. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park.
