ADRIAN — Adrian Public Schools will honor veterans at the Adrian vs. Tecumseh football game on Friday, October 3rd, at Maple Stadium.
The event will include a pre-game ceremony before the 7 p.m. kickoff. Veterans from Adrian, Tecumseh, and nearby communities are invited to attend and will get free admission. Those who want to take part in the on-field ceremony should meet at the stadium flagpole by 6:30 p.m.
The American Legion Post 97 will lead a flag-raising, and other tributes will follow. School leaders say the goal is to recognize the service and sacrifice of veterans while adding special meaning to the annual rivalry game.
Maple Stadium is next to Michener Elementary School at 104 Dawes Street in Adrian.
