ADRIAN — A new program in Adrian is helping parents build stronger families.
The Active Parenting group will meet for six weeks starting October 15th. Sessions will run on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 at the Porter Center on Sutton Road.
The program is designed for parents of children ages 5 to 12. It focuses on skills like improving communication, teaching responsibility, and encouraging school success. Parents will also learn strategies to prevent problems with drugs and alcohol, while supporting independence as kids grow older.
Child care will be available during the classes. Parents must attend all six sessions to receive a certificate.
More details and registration are available online or by contacting Lisa Eack at the Lenawee Great Start Family Coalition.
