
Chester “Chet” S. Krzemien, age 82, of Tecumseh, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Cambrian Assisted Living, Tecumseh. He was born June 5, 1943, in Gaylord, Michigan to Chester C. and Magadlen (Fiel) Krzemien. He served in the U. S. Army from 1965-1967, and spent a year in Viet Nam. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Gaylord in 1962. On May 11, 1968, he married Leona Rominski in Ypsilanti and she survives. Chet had been employed by the Saline Ford Plant for 35 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, watching all sports, especially Michigan State University teams and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Leona, he is survived by a son, Andrew (Lydia) Krzemien of Grand Prairie, Texas; a daughter, Diane (Michael) Boike of Clinton; two grandchildren, Lara and Chase Boike; a brother, Thomas (Karen) Krzemien of Gaylord, Michigan; a nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece.
At Chet’s request, cremation has taken place. The Funeral Liturgy for Chet will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church with Father Dan Wheeler as celebrant. The Underwood-Orr American Legion Post #34 will be doing a flag presentation to honor Chester’s service to the United States Army. His cremains will be placed in the niche at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 5-7:00 P.M. at the Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh and on Friday at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church for one hour prior to the service.
