Carol Lue (Glaser) Weaver passed away on Sunday September 14, 2025. She was born on December 2, 1949, in Adrian, Michigan to Lewis and Carolyn Jane (Maynard) Glaser. Carol’s roots in Lenawee County ran deep, residing in Adrian most of her life. On June 6, 1969, she married J. (Joseph) Bruce Weaver. They shared almost 49 years together before his death on April 8, 2018.
Carol Lue earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations at Judson College in Elgin, Illinois in 1975 and a Master of Science in Community Mental Health from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois in 1978. Following graduation, she dedicated her life to community service. Carol Lue worked in Elgin, Illinois; Toledo, Ohio; and Adrian, Michigan doing social service administration and providing direct consumer services. Later, she provided mental health therapy in Hillsdale through Jackson-Hillsdale Community Mental Health, and then for Journeys of Michigan. Following retirement, she spent many years doing volunteer driving for Meals on Wheels, and for Lenawee County and the State of Michigan.
She was an active member of several churches including the Community Methodist Church in South Elgin, Illinois; the First Baptist Church, Trenton Hills United Methodist Church, and the First Presbyterian Church in Adrian. Later, she became a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tecumseh, Michigan.
Carol Lue had a strong love for her Heavenly Father and worked hard to serve Him and his children. She felt strongly the call and would answer, “Here I am Lord, I will go Lord, I will hold your people in my heart.” She carried this out throughout her life, including serving on mission trips to help with relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina, and to install water filtration systems in rural Nicaragua.

She had a deep love for her family and friends and loved many family dogs over the years.
Besides her husband of 48 years, she was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her nephew Jack Thomas Glaser, and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey L. Weaver (Jamie Weirauch) of Adrian, Michigan and Jason G. Weaver of Coldwater, Michigan; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Nelson (Ann) Glaser, Lewis A. (Debbie) Glaser, and Jeff (Patty) Glaser; numerous cousins and beloved friends; and her two loving dogs, Roxanne and Dottie.
Visitation for Carol will take place on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Catherine King officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
