Ruben Alvaro Salazar, age 67 of Adrian, Michigan, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at his home in Madison Township, Michigan.  Ruben raised his family in Adrian and is a graduate of Adrian High School. He retired from his career as a Master Mechanic in 2023. However, everyone who knew him will tell you, he never stopped working. He loved to stay busy working on cars and different projects with his home. He had many hobbies. He enjoyed playing the keyboard, working out, riding his motorcycle, driving his cars, traveling, playing with his dogs Ella and Luna, talking to his birds and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Ruben was his happiest when he was surrounded by family. Ruben was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, cousin and friend. He was generous, loyal, witty and kind. His sense of humor and his shoulder to lean on will be forever missed by all. The wisdom and love he provided will be etched in the hearts of his children and family for eternity, while his strength remains a constant source of inspiration. With every decision that is made, his voice is heard. With every story that is shared, his laughter echoes. Ruben is survived by his children; Ruben Lee (Jamie) Salazar, Andrea (Jim) Chapman-Salazar, Angela (John) Personett and Alexander Salazar. His partner; Cande Palomares. His grandchildren; Ruben Cody (Juliana) Salazar, Alicia (Ian) Moran-Medrano, Valentina Salazar, Micaela (Pedro) Torres , Reymundo Medrano Jr., Destiny (Coleten) Robertson, Rafael Chapa, Angelica Serrato, Diego Serrato, Dominic Serrato, Gabriella Personett, Jaxon Rosas, Edward Personett, Ava Salazar and Seth Salazar. His great grandchildren; Alana Salazar, Ruben Luca Salazar, Thomas Isidro Salazar, Everleigh Medrano, Charli Moran, Aubree Torres, Alejandro Torres, Avianna Torres, Ryder Robertson, Aven Staley and Seth Salazar. His Siblings; Marcela, Maria, Adelaida, Maria Elana, Eleazar, Rodrigo, Efrain and Cruz. His siblings gave him many nieces and nephews that he held very dear to his heart. Ruben is preceded in death by his mother; Valentina Salazar, his father; Isidro Salazar and his Aunt Maria Arellano.
