TECUMSEH — Tecumseh Public Schools gave an update on Career Corner at this week’s board meeting.
The program is designed to help students succeed after graduation. The district has created a development model, more than 100 pages long, based on Michigan’s state plan but adapted to fit Tecumseh’s needs.
Career Corner highlights 17 career clusters, which were updated last spring from the course catalog. It also includes a “portrait of a graduate,” which identifies the key skills students will need in the future, based on their own interests.
The program also acts as a bridge to the trades, giving students chances to connect with local trade programs and career paths.
