Samuel Robert Johnstone, age 81, of Hillsdale, MI, passed away, September 2, 2025, at home with his family. He was born December 17, 1943, in Highland Park, MI the son of Samuel & Doris (Kilgore) Johnstone. He is survived by four sons, Samuel Raymond Johnstone, Timothy Paul (Manda) Johnstone, Christopher Sean Johnstone and James Matthew Johnstone; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Johnstone, Christopher Sean Johnstone, Jr., Charles Patrick Johnstone, Tina Wirth, Steven Johnstone, Craig Johnstone; nine great grandchildren, Maya, Rowan, Paige, Collin, Shane, Rowan, Mariah and Lillian; and daughter in law, Elaine Johnstone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel & Doris Johnstone; one son, Steven Johnstone; his former wife, Lana Jean Johnstone; and all his siblings. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Cambria Cemetery No. 2.
