ANN ARBOR — Jewish Family Services is inviting the community to join Walk a Mile in My Shoes on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Burns Park Elementary.
The event will raise funds to support refugees who are starting new lives in the local community. Jewish Family Services has resettled 2,000 people in the past three years and continues to provide services like English classes, case management, job support, and food assistance.
Participants can compete for prizes, including a signed basketball from Detroit Pistons’ Ausar Thompson and DoorDash gift cards. The top fundraiser will win both prizes, and anyone raising $500 or more will be entered into a drawing for a $200 gift card.
Registration is open online. For help with sign-up or donations, contact Gabby at gabbym@jfsannarbor.org.
