ADRIAN — The Adrian Charter Township Police are warning residents about a rise in thefts from car cases.
Incidents have been reported in several neighborhoods, including Bent Oak south from Valley Road, the North Hills Subdivision, Spielman Heights, Spielman Road, and Lakeridge Drive.
Police say nearly all the recent cases involved unlocked cars. They remind residents to lock their vehicles, even if leaving them for just a moment.
People should also keep valuables out of sight, use security tools like lights or cameras, and report suspicious activity right away. For emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, call Central Dispatch at 517-263-0524, Ext. 0. Tips can also be emailed to police@adriantwpmi.gov.
Officers say working together as neighbors is the best way to help reduce thefts and keep the community safe.
