
ADRIAN — Lenawee County leaders have approved a new five-year Capital Improvement Plan.
For 2026, the plan covers several divisions. The Building and Grounds Division has $363,235 set aside for projects like padded cell repairs at the jail, carpet replacements, and roof work.
The Equipment and Vehicles Division will use $95,000 to replace an older truck and a Kubota.
At the Maurice Spear Campus, $233,369 is budgeted for roof and window work, plus sealing on key buildings.
The Sheriff’s Office will receive $327,000 for three Dodge Durangos and two Jeep Grand Cherokees.
Other county vehicles will see $55,000 for a new Emergency Management truck.
The Tecumseh Products site is budgeted $20,000 for property upkeep.
Finally, $2 million is planned for major renovations at the Judicial Building.
