Robert M. “Bob” Stephenson of Osseo, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
He was born on January 3, 1938, in Albion, Michigan to Thayron L. and Agnes (Walsh) Stephenson. Bob graduated from Albion High School in 1956 and attended Kellogg Community College.
Bob married his wife, Carol Ann Munk on July 9, 1959, who survives him. He joined the Michigan National Guard in 1960, subsequently transferring to the United States Air Force and agreeing to take an assignment in Greenland. After completing his service in 1963, he worked for his uncle as a mechanical apprentice. Bob worked hard to pass all the requirements to become a Licensed Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor, and started his own business in 1964 – Osseo Plumbing and Heating.
Bob bought a farm with his wife Carol in 1965, proudly naming it “Wildwood Acres.” Owning the farm brought Bob a tremendous amount of purpose and joy.
Bob attended the Wheatland Congregational Church for many years and most recently, was a member of the Pittsford Congregational Church. He proudly served his community in many roles, including on the Pittsford School Board, Pittsford Lions Club, a coach for Mark’s local little league team, 4H parent, and for several years as the County Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector.
Bob was an extremely hard worker. He was known to all for his outgoing personality, never meeting a stranger, and greeting most people with a smile or a joke. He loved cutting wood, growing a large vegetable garden, and building and fixing things, especially his fleet of farm tractors.
Left to cherish Bob’s memory is his wife of 66 years, Carol, his son, Mark (Hollie) Stephenson, two grandchildren, Thomas and Sarah Stephenson, two sisters-in-law, Donna Stephenson and Katherine Sawchuk and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter Michelle, parents, a brother, John Stephenson and two sisters, Kay Horton and Lou Ann Stephenson.
