LANSING — Thousands of workers, contractors, and union members will rally at the Michigan State Capitol on Wednesday, September 3.

The Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association, along with Operating Engineers 324, the Michigan Laborers District Council, and the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights, are calling on lawmakers to pass a long-term plan to fund Michigan’s roads.

Organizers say more than 10,000 jobs could be lost if lawmakers do not act. To show the size of the industry, heavy construction equipment will be on display at the Capitol.

The rally will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the East Lawn of the Capitol in Lansing.
