ADRIAN — Lenawee County will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 10th at 1:35 p.m. at the Old County Courthouse in Adrian.

The hearing concerns the county’s plan to apply for a $1.5 million Community Development Block Grant. The grant would help low and moderate-income homeowners make needed repairs, such as fixing roofs, windows, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, and electrical work.

If approved, the program could temporarily displace up to five families while work is completed. The county says it will work with partners like the Department of Health and Human Services, the Community Action Agency, and Housing Help of Lenawee to assist with temporary housing and moving costs.

Citizens are invited to attend the hearing and share comments. More information is available from Community Development Coordinator Francine Zysk at 517-264-4713.
