ADRIAN — Judge Schaedler has scheduled a second probable cause hearing in a felony hit-and-run case.

Defense attorneys told the court they must review about 800 pages of discovery before moving forward. The judge scheduled the next hearing for September 23 at 9 a.m.

During today’s hearing, the judge reminded the defendant of bond conditions. That includes wearing a GPS tether and having no contact with the victim’s family or witnesses, either directly or through others.

After the hearing, the Courington family spoke with WLEN News and said they are satisfied with how the court is handling their case.

The case remains open in Lenawee District Court. WLEN News will continue to cover the story as it develops.
