It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Jesus “Jesse” Perez Jr., who unexpectedly departed this life on August 25, 2025 at the age of 69.

Jesse was a loving father, proud grandfather, brother, and cherished friend to many. His life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his family, community, and always entertaining one with a laugh or cheesy joke.

Whether on the sidelines of a youth sports field or cheering from the stands, he was always there-coaching, supporting, and celebrating his children through every stage of their journey.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Jesse found great joy in attending games and sharing in the victories and lessons that sports provide. His greatest pride, however, came from watching his children grow, build families of their own, and bring him the priceless gift of grandchildren. He cherished every moment with them, warmth, and laughter that will live on through the generations he leaves behind.

Jesse will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and the legacy of love and strength he built within his family.

Jesse is lovingly survived by his mother, Antonia Perez; his four children, Manuel Perez, Marcus (Bentley) Perez, Marquita (Craig) Smith, and Joshua (Kelsie) Perez; his four brothers Nate (Robin) Perez, David (Jodi) Perez, Bob (Tonya) Perez, Chris Perez, and many more family members and friends who he considered family. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Selina, Nora, Ayla, Oaklyn, and Gatlin Perez, as well as his cherished great-grandson, Maximus Perez.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Perez Sr.; his son, Armondo Perez; and his former wife, Debbie Jean Perez.

A celebration of Jesse’s life will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at New Life Church at 1370 S. Winter St. Adrian, MI 49221 between 4-7pm.

A private burial will occur at a later date with immediate family.
