Shirley J. Conrad, age 92, of Adrian, died Saturday evening, August 23, 2025, at her home. She was born January 25, 1933, in Cogan Station, PA to the late Emery and Pearl (Livermore) Smith. On May 1979, she married Charles Conrad in Alba, Michigan. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2007.
A lifelong animal lover, Shirley was very dedicated to her pets, especially the dogs that have been members of her family over the years. She found great joy in being outdoors, and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing in her spare time. Most of all, she loved her family.
Her survivors include a son, Kenneth E. Wilson of Adrian; three daughters, Lois M. (David) Ward of Adrian, Patricia A. (Steve) Johnson of Adrian, and Karen L. (David) Ely of Tecumseh; a step-son, Randall E. (Karen) Conrad of FL; a step-daughter, Charlene (Daniel) Mayfield of Adrian; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her 11 siblings.
At Shirley’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
