
ROBERT A. WEAVER, age 84 years of Tavares, Florida, formerly of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospice Home in Tavares, Florida. He was born on September 26, 1940, in Hudson, the oldest son of Arthur N. and Dorothy M. (Gutting) Weaver.
Robert married Cheryl W. Roney on November 3, 1962, in Hudson. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2018. He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard. Robert owned and operated Pliable Products in Somerset for over 20 years, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing all types of games and reading a good book. Robert loved being with family, especially when he was up north at the cabin with the grandchildren. He was very active in his retirement in Florida as he joined the Moose Lodge, Eustis, American Legion, Tavares and attended St. Mary Of The Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis
Left to cherish Robert’s memory are his daughters; Angela (Andy) Paulsen and Denise (Rick) Handy, three grandchildren; Robert (Brittany) Kuhn, Rachel Handy and Sarah (Kevin) Siemen, four great grandchildren; Gavin, Amelia, Jase, Ezra and one on the way; a sister-in-law, Carol Weaver and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl, great granddaughter, Casey and four siblings; John “Jack” Weaver, Betty Baumia, Barb (Ted) Riley and Patty Weaver in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial Rite will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hudson with Father Todd Koenigsknecht officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Hannan-Colvin Post #180 of Hudson following mass. Burial of his cremains will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Hudson. Visitation will be Monday, August 25, 2025, from 4-6 P.M. with a Scripture Prayer Service at 6:00 P.M. at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson.
