Library Switching to Ingram

ADRIAN — The Adrian District Library board says it will now use a new vendor for most of its book orders.

Board members approved a switch from Baker and Taylor to Ingram. Leaders said the change was driven by staff librarians, who found Ingram’s system easier to search and more user-friendly.

Library Director Jennifer Wrzesinski spoke to WLEN News about the switch:

The board also noted that Ingram offers better discounts and a wider selection, which can save money and expand the library’s shelves. Officials added that Ingram’s catalog could help build a stronger local author section, though some purchases may still come from Baker and Taylor.
