ADRIAN — The county parks commission met this week to look at budgets and park projects.
The finance report showed parks are spending more than they planned. About twenty-five thousand dollars has come in so far, but expenses are already more than one hundred thousand dollars. Much of that money went to outside contracts.
The capital fund update showed two projects still open at Gerber Park. One is roofing at the pavilion, and the other is electrical work. The county still has more than one hundred thousand dollars available for future projects.
Staff gave updates on repairs across the county, including work at Bicentennial, Gerber, Iron Lake, Medina, Ramsdell, and Taylor Road.
Looking ahead, the county plans to spend about sixty thousand dollars in 2026 for roofing, siding, gravel, and other repairs.
