Pamela Jean Avedisian, age 78 of Onsted, MI, passed away at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor on Friday, August 15, 2025. She was born on July 8, 1947 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Elmer Faye Gross and Dorothy Jean (Ballard) Dufresne. Pamela was joined in marriage with Claus Avedisian July 15, 1967.
Pamela was a self-employed retailer for over 20 + years. She loved to cook, dance, have fun and loved to make people happy. She is survived by her loving husband Claus Avedisian; daughter Jami (Dominic) Margitan; two grandchildren, Summer Avedisian and Mia Margitan; two great-grandchildren, Leyla and Jason Moore; brother, John Chance Jr; nephew, John Chance III; and best friend, Mary Culbertson. Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter Dawn Avedisian
Visitation will be at the Handler Funeral Home in Tecumseh on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 11:30 am until the time of service at 12:30 pm. The Reverend Tom Hawkins officiating. Entombment will follow in Brookside Cemetery Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
