John David Sineveck, Jr., age 73, of Woodstock Twp., passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at Springcreek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Adrian, exactly one month after his wife, Cheryl. He was born in Ypsilanti on September 9, 1951, to the late John David, Sr. and Helen (Mijal) Sineveck. On June 25, 1975, he married Cheryl Ritter, and she preceded him in death. John worked as a car salesman for several years at Atchinson Ford in Belleville, however, later ventured on his own as a General Contractor.
When John got off work, his favorite thing to do was go home and take his kids tubing and skiing on the lake. When he wasn’t on the water, John could be found deer or duck hunting, fishing, or snowmobiling during the winter months. John was also co-owner of The Boat Gallery at Devils Lake with his wife, Cheryl; and son, Jonathan.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Melanie Haskell (Tony Edison); sisters, Annette (John) Davies, Kathy Milan, Chris (Jon) Walters, and Mary Winters; and brothers, Gary (Jan) and Tommy Sineveck. Along with his parents; and wife of 50 years, Cheryl, he was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan; sister, Patty Mijup; and his beloved pup, Drake.
Cremation has taken place. The family will plan a Celebration of Life at a later date.
