ADRIAN — The second annual Ruck to Remember will take place in Adrian on Sunday, September 21.

The free 2.2-mile walk is meant to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention, especially among veterans. Organizers say the date falls during Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

Participants will gather at the American Legion Helicopter at 10:30 a.m. before walking a route through downtown Adrian to Comstock Park and back. Two personal stories will be shared before the walk begins.

The event will end with a banner signing to honor and remember those lost. Food and drinks will be provided for all registered walkers, and leashed dogs and strollers are welcome.

More information is available through the event’s organizers.
