
With heavy hearts and profound love, we share the passing of Kenneth “Ken” Graf, a truly remarkable man. On August 8, 2025, after a courageous 12-year journey with Alzheimer’s Disease, surrounded by his loving family at Lenawee Medical Care Facility, Ken entered his heavenly home.
Ken was born February 1, 1954, in Wauseon, OH son of Willard and Doris (Lowery) Graf.
Ken was the devoted husband of 46 years to Connie, the love of his life and steadfast partner in every season. Together they built a life rooted in love, faith and family. He was the proud and loving father to Casey and Jake, and a deeply cherished Papa Ken to his grandchildren, Cooper and Quincy, who brought immeasurable joy to his days.
Having earned his degree from Grand Valley State College, Ken became a highly respected educator at Morenci, Clinton, Hudson, Tecumseh and Bedford. Ken dedicated his career to shaping young minds and inspiring those around him. He impacted countless lives – both students and colleagues – through his commitment to excellence, his kindness and his ability to see potential in everyone. His leadership extended beyond the classroom, where he shared his passion for sports as both a coach and an enthusiastic fan. Ken coached numerous teams from Little League through high school level. Ken dedicated many years of his life to the Blissfield Area little League in various roles. He truly loved all things sports. Ken was the voice of Blissfield Football for many years, and proudly wore purple and gold. Ken was a loyal Royal through and through. In the classroom, on the field or from the stands, Ken brought passion, wisdom and heart to everything he did.
Ken was an ordained elder and active member of the Blissfield First Presbyterian Church.
Ken’s happiest moments were spent traveling to various destinations with family and friends, sharing good meals and being surrounded by the family he loved.
Ken has impacted many lives, he leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience – a life lived with purpose, humility and an open heart. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the gift of having known and been loved by him.
Ken is survived by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife Connie; his two children whom he treasured, Casey (Matt) Spears and Jake (Kayla) Graf; and cherished grandchildren, Cooper and Quincy Graf. He is also survived by his siblings, Tom (Sally) Graf, Kristin (Phil) Vershum, Barbara (Jack) Blaker; sisters-in-law Carolyn Graf, Linda Labert, Patti (Mark) Jacobs, Mary Case (widow of Ted Case); and many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Doris Graf; brother, Robert Graf; father-in-law, Ted Case; and brother-in-law, Dick Labert. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ken’s memory to the Blissfield First Presbyterian Church or to The Ken Graf Memorial Fund, with plans to be put towards Blissfield Schools; please make checks out to The Ken Graf Memorial Fund.
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 2-8 p.m. at Marry Funeral Home in Blissfield. A service honoring Ken’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 11:00 am. at Marry Funeral Home with Reverand Douglas Holmes Officiating.
Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Marry Funeral Home, Blissfield.
