ADRIAN — The Michigan Department of Transportation will close a section of M-52 in Adrian for seven days starting Monday.
The closure runs from Church Street to M-34 as crews continue resurfacing, joint repairs, and installation of ADA-compliant sidewalks.
Northbound traffic will be detoured along M-34, US-223, and the US-223 Business Loop. Southbound traffic will use the reverse route.
The $5.3 million project is expected to support 51 jobs and provide a smoother, safer driving surface. The work is part of MDOT’s ongoing M-52 resurfacing project, which began in May, and is scheduled to finish by 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17.
Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
