ADRIAN — The Physical Resources Committee has approved a maintenance contract for the Human Services Building parking lot.
The project includes crack filling, sealcoating, and new striping, aimed at preserving the lot and improving safety.
The county accepted a proposal from K&B Asphalt Maintenance for $32,503, along with $1,000 for updated signage and curb painting, bringing the total cost to $33,503.
The work was already included in the 2025 Capital Improvement Plan, and funds will come from the Community Services Building Fund. County Administrator Kim Murphy noted that the approval now heads to the Personnel/Ways & Means Committee for final review before moving forward.
The sealcoating is one of several planned upgrades aimed at extending the lifespan of county-owned facilities and reducing long-term repair costs.
