
Leo Gerald Jubenville, age 90 of Tecumseh, died August 5, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 26, 1935 at home in Lincoln Park, to Russell and Mary (Short) Jubenville.
On June 18, 1955, he married Joyce Anne Townsend at the Methodist Church in Lincoln Park, MI. They shared 63 years together.
Leo served in the United States Army from 1954-1956 as a helicopter mechanic and link trainer instructor. He also loved playing baseball for the Army. He graduated from EMU with a business degree, the first in his family to graduate college.
Leo worked for 36 years at Ford Motor Company as a supervisor. He opened J&B Gymnastics with his daughter Jane, in 1988 and ran the gym for 13 years with his family. Leo was involved in the United Methodist Men, youth group leader and other church activities including the church softball league. He was also involved in Show Kids We Care Committee.
Leo enjoyed Wednesday Survivor nights with his girls. He loved Detroit Tiger Baseball, but most of all his wife, kids and grandkids were the love of his life.
Leo is survived by his children: Anne Jubenville of Bay City, Kirk (Cynthia) Jubenville of Plainwell, Jane (Dave) Baker and Carol Rebottaro both of Tecumseh; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler (girlfriend Laura), Ryan (Megan) Jubenville, Kara (William) Woodhams, Morgan (Keegan) Hill, Alex (Meagan) Baker, Alanna (Cameron) Wagoner, Marrianna Cruz; one great grandchild, Sutton Hill, and a great grandchild (Jubenville) on the way. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Purse & Son Funeral Home Tecumseh, MI.
The funeral service for Leo will be held at the funeral home immediately following visitation at !2:00 p.m. with Rev. Chris Brundage officiating.
A private burial with family will be at Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, St. Jude’s, Alzheimers’ Association, or Hospice of Lenawee.
