ADRIAN — Hospice of Lenawee is looking for compassionate volunteers to support patients and families during end-of-life care.

The nonprofit’s fall training series begins October 8 and runs every Wednesday through October 29. All sessions take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hospice campus on Wolf Creek Highway in Adrian.

Volunteers can assist in a variety of roles, including visiting patients for companionship or caregiver respite. Training is required for all new volunteers, and applicants must wait at least one year after losing a loved one.

There is no cost to participate, but applications are due by September 24.

Interested community members can call 517-263-2323 on weekdays and speak with Director of Volunteers Heather Rowe for details.

Hospice of Lenawee provides patient and family-centered care during and after the final stages of life.
